What is Mindfulness?

Many people ask, what is mindfulness? Mindfulness is paying attention to our own emotional wellbeing, self care. Mindfulness techniques are a way of enhancing our wellbeing both mentally and physically. It is the psychological practise of actively being in the present moment. 

The concept of mindfulness originates from Sati, a Buddhist faculty that makes up one of the 7 factors of enlightenment. The most common way mindfulness is practised in modern society is via meditation and several other alternative methods exist.
